CFOC
Since 1963, CFOC has united French refinement and Asian craftsmanship in original, handcrafted creations. Heir to a unique cultural legacy, the maison champions sustainable beauty and responsible design.
A story of elegance and discovery
Founded in 1963 by François Dautresme, the CFOC was born from a passion for the refined simplicity of Asian everyday objects and a profound respect for ancestral craftsmanship.
A visionary explorer, Dautresme was among the first to build lasting connections with artisans in China and Vietnam, introducing the Western world to the beauty of functional design rooted in authenticity and humanity.
Over the decades, the CFOC has become a French design and lifestyle house, a bridge between East and West.
Its founder used to say:
“My main goal was not to reproduce objects, but to translate an attitude a way of living through a choice of values, through objects.”
In 2011, entrepreneur and art collector Laurent Dumas breathed new life into the brand while preserving its original soul.
Since 2016, Valérie Mayéko Le Héno, Creative Director, has carried this heritage forward, crafting collections that harmoniously combine French refinement and ancestral craftsmanship.
Craftsmanship & creation
Each CFOC creation is an original design, imagined by the in-house studio led by Valérie Mayéko Le Héno.
With clean lines, natural materials, and a graphic sensibility, CFOC embodies a contemporary yet timeless design, where beauty converses with nature.
The brand collaborates with over fifty family-run ateliers across Asia in long-standing relationships of trust and respect.
These artisans often referred to as “companions” have passed down their expertise for generations, ensuring authenticity, precision, and excellence.
