Kodama, c'est l'esprit des arbres dans les légendes japonaises. C'est aussi le nom d'une chaise en chêne, dessinée par le bureau de création de la CFOC. Elle est fabriquée par des ébénistes compagnons de la CFOC, avec du chêne naturel rythmé de détails de marqueterie en noyer. Sa forme est généreuse et enveloppante, elle est agrémentée d’une galette intégrée recouverte d’un tissu italien bouclette gris chiné très clair. Elle s’installe facilement dans une chambre, autour d’une table Hinoki dessinée par Christophe Delcourt ou d’une table Tolbo.

The Martindale value indicates the fabric’s resistance to abrasion and determines its suitable use:

  • 20,000 to 40,000 rubs → Standard domestic use (chairs, moderately used seating)
  • 40,000 to 100,000 rubs → Heavy use (family sofas, hotel furniture)
  • Over 100,000 rubs → Very intensive professional use (public spaces, offices, commercial seating, ERP)

For demanding projects (public venues, hospitality, commercial use), always check fire-retardant classifications and relevant technical standards.
