Sur le verre Maru apparaissent des motifs gravés à la pointe de diamant: des lignes qui forment des losanges inspirés d'un motif japonais, le Shippô, que l'on retrouve brodé sur les kimonos anciens. C'est dans un atelier du Hubei (Chine) spécialisé dans le travail du verre haut-de-gamme que les maîtres verriers fabriquent la verrerie Maru. Ils explorent trois motifs différents, jouant avec des effets givrés ou translucides. Fabriqués en verre borosilicate, un matériau reconnu pour sa résistance physique et thermique, ces verres '"long drink" sont parfaits pour accueillir un cocktail, une orangeade et des glaçons. Ils apportent une touche animée sur une table grâce au jeu de finition mat/brillant que crée la gravure.
