When the sea inspires sustainable design
Malàkio's recycled shells
A sustainable way of life, combining craftsmanship and the blue economy
At SUSTY, we love brands that transform waste into beauty. Malàkio embodies this new wave of eco-designers who turn recycling into a poetic gesture. Their raw material? Shells.
Based in Nantes, this young French company collects shells from human consumption and transforms them in its own workshop into everyday objects that are functional, decorative and sustainable. Until now, these waste products have been largely overlooked, but now they are becoming noble, local and renewable materials.
From the sea to your home, inspired and responsible design
Vases, trays, coasters, small tableware items: Malàkio creations are part of a sensitive and contemporary universe. Each piece tells a story — that of a forgotten material that finds new life, carefully crafted without harmful additives, using traditional production methods.
The result is a minimalist, mineral aesthetic, at the crossroads of interior design and ecological innovation. An invitation to consume differently, without sacrificing elegance.
A brand committed to a more circular world
Malàkio champions a vision based on three pillars:
- support for the local economy,
- French artisanal manufacturing,
- and a circular and blue economy that respects marine resources.
By joining SUSTY, the brand enriches our selection of concrete solutions that reconcile design and sustainability. Because at Malàkio, as at SUSTY, the future is written with existing resources and new ideas.
