Bel Ouvrage – Where Craftsmanship Meets Collectible Design
A Historic Venue to Celebrate Savoir-Faire
From September 8 to 10, 2025, as part of Paris Design Week, the Palais Abbatial in Saint-Germain-des-Prés had hosted the exhibition Bel Ouvrage, conceived and curated by Carole de Bona, founder and creative director of the event.
Located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the exhibition took place in a venue rarely open to the public: the Palais Abbatial. Across nearly 450 m², Bel Ouvrage offered a curated journey where collectible design and rare editions conversed with architectural heritage.
The Spirit of Bel Ouvrage
More than just an exhibition, Bel Ouvrage had highlighted the excellence of French and European savoir-faire. The event had brought together artisans, designers, and publishing houses around a shared philosophy: celebrating the beauty of objects, the power of materials, and the timelessness of craftsmanship.
This second edition showcased nearly one hundred pieces – furniture, lighting, decorative objects – crafted as limited editions or unique works, true testaments to creativity and transmission.
Committed Partners
Among the exhibition’s supporters were Dedar and Mariaflora, two emblematic textile houses, along with prestigious partners: 3D Metal Industrie, Fonderie FRA Design Solutions, the Institut pour les Savoir-Faire Français, La Fabrique Singulière, Réseau Excellence, Serge Lesage, and the association We Are Here Venice.
A charity sale further punctuated the event, strengthening Bel Ouvrage’s commitment to solidarity.
Why It Was Inspiring for Susty
Bel Ouvrage perfectly illustrated the mission we carry:
valorizing noble materials and exceptional craftsmanship,
giving new resonance to decorative heritage,
embedding creation in a logic of sustainability and renewal.
